Belmont Receives Award for Restoration of Home on Midtown Buffalo's Coe Place
by system
At a May 8th ceremony celebrating Buffalo's historic
architecture and preservation success stories, the City
of Buffalo's Preservation Board has honored non-profit
Belmont Housing Resources for WNY, recognizing its
commendable work in the restoration of 19 Coe Place
in Midtown Buffalo.
According to the Board's Chair, "This award is usually
bestowed on those who have taken extra steps in the
preservation of Buffalo's heritage, its landmarks or
buildings within its historic districts. While the Coe
Place house is neither a landmark nor within an historic district, the Preservation Board made an exception
so that they could thank Belmont for hearing their pleas to preserve this house and then restore it." The pro-
ject was made possible in part by a generous gift from the Bank of America Foundation.
