The number of attractive new single-family homes now
available for purchase at affordable prices by income-
qualifying aspiring homeowners in the Town of Tona-
wanda is now two. Developed by a partnership joining
the Town's Office of Community Development and non-
profit New Opportunities Community Housing Develop-
ment Corp., the remaining properties include two 2-story
3-bedroom/1½-bath models at 11 Crowell Court and 114
Blackmore Street. The 3-bedroom/1-bath ranch model at

According to New Opportunities' Tom Oakley, all three
of the properties offer a wide variety of popular features,
including wall-to-wall carpeting, attached garages and
full basements with high-efficiency furnaces and glass
block windows. The houses also have easy-to-maintain
vinyl siding, energy-efficient double-pane windows and
insulated steel exterior doors.

"To make these beautiful homes even more affordable,"
Oakley points out, "the Town of Tonawanda is offering
as much as $61,000 of financial assistance to qualifying
buyers." He explains that to be eligible totake advantage
of these great homeownership opportunities, purchasers
must meet income requirements, not have owned a home
within the past 3 years and be able to secure a $75,000
mortgage. He also adds that the properties are available
on a first-come/first-served basis, noting that in addition
to the latest closing, a 4th house that was built along with
