Belmont Has Entered the World of YouTube - SNAP Program Interview

Belmont is Proud to be a Part of the SNAP Program
CASH Buffalo secured a grant from the Erie County Department of Social Services' Safety Net Achievement Program (SNAP) to provide financial education and linkages to other CASH Buffalo programs for families that are participants of the Welfare-to-Work Program. Belmont provides financial management and life skill education and one‐on‐one financial counseling, goal setting, and life skill training on a weekly basis at four SNAP program locations (Matt Urban, The Belle Center, The Northwest Buffalo Community Center, and South Buffalo Education Center). In addition to various financial education classes we also introduce "life skill" training to further economic, and heath initiatives these include classes such as: American Diabetes Association: The Facts of Diabetes; NY Quits: How to quit Smoking and save money too; Healthy Homes And Neighborhoods; American Red Cross: Emergency Preparation; American Red Cross: Summer Safety and a four week series on career development which included resume writing, interview techniques, and utilizing WNY resources in finding a job.
