Since we began developing and constructing affordable housing in 1982, we have developed over 2,000 new residential units valued at over $150M worth of new construction. Our experience includes a mix of new construction and building re-use to create affordable housing units. Our team has demonstrated success in delivering new affordable housing through the construction of multi-family rental projects through the use of State and Federal Low Income Housing Tax Credits, HUD Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding, Home Investment Partnerships (HOME) Program funding, and Federal Home Loan Bank of New York and Cincinnati Affordable Housing Program Funds, among other sources. We work very closely with local, state and federal partners to ensure we are constantly aware of the housing policy changes and regulatory requirements for project funding in an effort to consistently provide and expand new affordable housing opportunities throughout the region. Our Development Team is fortunate to benefit from Belmont’s expertise both as a developer and operator/manager of affordable rental housing. Belmont’s Property Management Department currently manages more than 20 multi-family affordable housing developments across the Western New York market. Belmont has also proven to be a trusted partner for many nationally based affordable housing developers seeking a local representative that can provide development oversight, owner’s representation and property management services. The following is a summary of notable projects we have either directly developed or constructed in partnership with other organizations:
