Belmont has decades of experience in partnering with local townships and Erie County to administer state and federal funding programs that support renovation and rehabilitation activities for local households. The following is a summary of recent partnerships and programs we have undertaken:

  • Green & Healthy Homes Initiative: Belmont has worked in partnership with the Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo in utilizing funding through this program to make the homes safer and more energy efficient. Through this work we have improved the safety and energy efficiency in nearly 400 homes throughout WNY.

  • Rehabilitation Loan Programs: Belmont is fortunate to have acted on the behalf of the City of Buffalo, City of North Tonawanda, City of Lockport and Heart of the City as the administrator and manager of over $25M worth of federal funding towards housing restoration work over the past 13 years. This relationship has resulted in the renovation and improvement of over 2,000 houses throughout the region. These programs have saved homes that required emergency stabilization and repairs and have helped to sustain the valuable historic housing stock throughout our region.

  • Lead Hazard Control Programs: In working with both the City of Buffalo and Erie County, Belmont has provided the oversight and management of over $8M in federal funds toward lead abatement and removal activities over the past 12 years. This work has improved the health and environment of over 750 households throughout our region.
